Negotiating well makes a difference no matter what you do. We negotiate on a daily basis at work, at home, and elsewhere. Yet too often, people lacking strong negotiation skills damage relationships and reach poor outcomes. This highly interactive workshop will cover the basic principles for achieving excellent results in any negotiation, from co-workers to sellers to friends and family members. We will explore the impact of trust, communication, and the balance between collaboration and assertiveness, as well as when to walk away from a negotiation. The workshop will incorporate a variety of activities, including simulations, role-playing, videos, and discussions, to create a highly engaging experience. Students will come away with practical tools and techniques for generating creative solutions in difficult situations.
